Software engineer / Lagos, Nigeria
I’m Ebuka Duruaku, a software engineer who likes to understand the whole thing. Thoughtful interfaces, the logic underneath, and the systems beyond the browser.
Layer 01 / Interface
Two projects up close, followed by more of my work across the web. Explore an interface or look beneath the surface.
Business website
A construction company’s presence on the web.
React Router v7 · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS
A business website built with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. The source repository is private; the public website is linked below.
Monitoring application
From a monitoring interface to the Go workers checking websites behind it.
React · TypeScript · Go / Gin · PostgreSQL
The React client uses TanStack Router and Query. A Go/Gin API handles authenticated, team-scoped routes; PostgreSQL and sqlx store monitoring records. Background Go workers schedule website checks, with response-time history and pause/resume controls implemented in the code. The linked site is the public frontend; backend availability is separate.
Layer 02 / Application
The interface is the beginning. Behind it are requests, rules, and the everyday work of keeping an application useful.
At Conalle, I also worked on application stability and page functionality with Nuxt and Rust.
At D’Accubin, I also worked on a cross-platform authentication SDK for a client, integrating OAuth and PKCE across web, React Native, and Expo applications.
Conceptual view / Application
Rust / Go / Node.js / React / MongoDB
Professional work / D’Accubin
Jan 2024 – present
Worked with Rust alongside the web stack, refactored legacy code, and improved API handling. On the frontend, I implemented React code-splitting and lazy loading.
Layer 03 / Data
My database experience spans Django and PostgreSQL backend applications, plus database integration and retrieval in desktop software.
At BriskBlender, I also integrated databases and worked on improving data retrieval in desktop applications.
Conceptual view / Data
Django / PostgreSQL / Python
Professional work / Sagebyte
Jan – Mar 2023
Developed backend applications with Django and PostgreSQL, collaborated with the team, and debugged code through quality review.

Backend project / Public source
A Go backend with user, feed, and feed-follow handlers. The repository includes PostgreSQL schema migrations, user-scoped feed-follow queries, and sqlc-generated database access code.
Go / PostgreSQL / Chi / sqlc
Layer 04 / Desktop & connected systems
My desktop work includes multithreaded C++ applications, database integration, and connections to AWS IoT Core. Personal Qt projects give me another place to explore.
Roshar brings two interests together: building desktop applications and exploring the worlds of the Cosmere.

Professional work / BriskBlender
Jul 2022 – present
Built multi-core, multithreaded C++ applications, improved database retrieval, and integrated AWS IoT Core for real-time tracking and analysis.
A closer look / Project source
Desktop project / Public source
A Qt desktop image editor with file opening and saving, zoom controls, and an OpenCV blur operation wired into the interface.
C++ / Qt / OpenCV
Personal project / Public source
A C++ and Qt application for quotes from The Stormlight Archive, with timed updates, system tray integration, and display settings. A connection between my software work and my interest in the Cosmere.

The person / Beyond the layers
I first got into programming through C++ around 2013, and loved it. In 2018, I began learning HTML and CSS, drawn to the visual side of programming and the possibilities of building graphical interfaces for the web. That path has since taken me across web applications, desktop software, cloud integrations, and backend development.
I enjoy understanding how the pieces fit together: what a person sees, what an application does, and how data moves between systems. My current focus is going deeper with Rust and backend engineering.
There’s a playful side to this site, too: a creative coding lab, a corner for the Cosmere, and an illustrated character gallery.
Collected along the way / Languages & tools
From my first C++ programs to the systems I build today, these are languages, frameworks, and tools I’ve worked with or explored. Some are everyday companions; others belong to earlier experiments.
